How a Krillion dive plays
Krillion on PlayTeal is a free daily trivia game. You get seven prompts. Everyone playing this tribute on that date gets the same seven. There is no multiple choice and no download. You type one answer that fits, then you find out how deep it went.
A round starts with a short preview so you can read the whole prompt before the clock is hostile. Then you have twenty-five seconds. Submit with the button or with Enter. If the tribute’s bank does not contain that spelling, you can try another answer while time remains. A pass, a timeout, or a final miss scores zero for that prompt. The daily dive does not end early. You still walk all seven prompts, including the ones that stayed at the surface.
Depth is the score turned into meters. Every point is ten meters. Seven perfect answers would be seven hundred points and seven thousand meters. Almost nobody prints a perfect card, and that is the point. The familiar answer is supposed to feel easy and pay poorly. The less crowded answer, when it truly belongs, pays more.

Steps for a first dive
- Open the daily game from the button above. The intro names the day and the reset time. Begin the dive only when you can spare a few quiet minutes. The timer does not pause for the menu.
- Read the prompt as a constraint, not as a vibe. Decide whether it wants a person, a place, a thing, or a type. A beautiful answer of the wrong kind cannot score.
- Say the obvious answer in your head, then do not type it yet. That word is usually plankton. Look for a true example fewer people would share: a specific role, a smaller member of the set, a part instead of the whole.
- Type the ordinary spelling. Nicknames, leetspeak, and jokes are not how this bank reads an answer. If the first try is rejected, you still have the rest of the twenty-five seconds.
- Finish all seven. The result screen shows tiers, a depth total, and a share card. Copy the result if you want to compare a run. The card is built to avoid handing someone the prompts.
- If you want another run the same day, open unlimited. Daily results stay on the daily log. Unlimited does not overwrite them.

Scoring and rare answers
Accepted answers land on a ladder. Plankton is the gateway score, the word a room would shout together. Above that, the tribute uses too clever, schooler, rare, deep cut, and one in a krillion. The points climb from a small surface score to a full one hundred. The names are flavor. The rule is stable: a closer fit that fewer players would reach is worth more than a correct-but-universal noun.
Rarity here is not a live percentage. Editors of this tribute place answers on tiers. You cannot game the board by watching a crowd, because the crowd is not the meter. You also cannot invent a rare word that the prompt does not allow. Rejection is not a life on the daily dive. It is a sign to try a different real answer before the sonar hits zero.
A useful habit is to keep two candidates. The first is the safe plankton word, stored in case the clock dies. The second is the narrower truth. Submit the second while you still have ten seconds. Drop to the first only when the second has already been rejected or you cannot defend it. Guessing a fake specific — a name you half remember, a place you are inventing — usually misses the bank and leaves you with zero.

Daily dive or unlimited
The daily dive is the shared game. Seven prompts, the same list for everyone on that date, no lives. You can play it badly and still see the end screen. That makes it the run people compare. The reset is midnight in New York. Daylight saving moves the UTC hour, not the New York clock. The intro on the game shows the next change in your own time zone.
Unlimited is the practice ocean. A run can hold up to fifty prompts drawn for that challenge. You get three lives. Each zero-score round spends one. The third zero ends the run, even if prompts remain. You may start another challenge immediately. There is no payment and no account. “Unlimited” means unlimited restarts, not an infinite single life.
Use daily when you want the fair comparison. Use unlimited when you want reps: more prompts, a harsher miss, no need to wait for tomorrow. Past daily dates stay listed in the archive so a finished day can be revisited in the game. Revisiting is not the same as reading a published solution. PlayTeal does not print the prompt list for those dates.
The two modes do not share a score. A deep unlimited run does not rewrite the daily card, and a daily finish does not grant extra lives. If you care about one number to send a friend, use the daily result. If you care about getting less bad at the timer, use unlimited.
Packs, hints, and the archive
Themed packs sit beside the mixed daily game. Movies, sports, geography, and lexicon each open on their own PlayTeal page. Those pages explain the pack and send you into the game. They are not extra copies of the daily seven. A film pack still rewards the credit people do not reach for. A sports pack still treats the household name as the shallow score. Geography wants the place that is true and less posted. Lexicon wants the tighter word, spelled like a real word.

If a single prompt has already stalled you, open hints. The tiers there tell you how to narrow an answer. They do not name one. The answers page is the matching door for “what did today resolve to?” The honest reply on PlayTeal is your own finished log, not a sheet we post for strangers. The past dives list is every scheduled date, again without the prompts.
Tips and scoring remain the lessons for people who want to learn the mode before they are stuck. Hints and answers remain the rescue pages. Keeping them apart matters. A strategy guide that also dumps the day’s bank would spoil the only comparison the daily game has.
Sharing a result
The result screen can copy a dive report and, where the browser allows it, hand the same text to the system share sheet. You can also save a score card image. The report is a depth and a row of tiers. It is a bad place to paste the prompts, and the tribute does not add them for you. If you want a friend to feel the same puzzle, send the report and let them play the daily game. Sending the words you typed answers the puzzle for them.
Sharing does not create an account and does not publish you on a global board. There is no PlayTeal login on this game. The save is local. Another browser, or a cleared storage, starts without your streak. That is also why a public answers page cannot honestly reconstruct your run. We never received it.

No. Krillion on PlayTeal is an independent, fan-made tribute. Not affiliated with krillion.io. Accounts, daily questions, and leaderboards are not shared with any other site.
Where are today’s answers?
PlayTeal does not publish a spoiler key. After you finish the seven prompts, your own result screen lists the words you typed. The public answers page explains that limit and links the date archive.
How is a rare answer scored?
An accepted answer earns a tier from plankton up to one in a krillion. Tiers are editorial choices in this tribute, not a live poll of other players. A rare word still has to fit the prompt.
What is the difference between daily and unlimited?
The daily dive is seven shared prompts and always finishes. Unlimited is a repeatable run of up to fifty prompts with three lives. A third zero-score round ends that run.
When does the daily set change?
The scheduled set changes at midnight in New York (Eastern Time). Refreshing the page does not deal a new set. An answer already in progress is not replaced mid-round.
Can I get a hint without the answer?
Yes. The hints page offers tiers: name the kind of thing, drop the famous example, then check that the rarer word still belongs. It never names a correct answer.
How do I share a score?
Finish the dive and use Copy result on the log screen. The report shows depth and tiers. It is meant to leave the prompts and your exact words off the public card.
Do I need an account?
No. The daily dive and unlimited runs play in the browser. Progress stays in local storage on this device until you clear site data.
